Baha'is of Hull

' The earth is but one country and mankind it's citizen'

We are a diverse community who come together as members of the Baha'i faith where diversity is reflected by different ages young or old ,cultures from the West to the East, many different languages of English to Congolese and we embrace the diversity of the whole human family.

Baha'u'llah the founder of the faith once said:

"It is not his to boast who loveth his country, but it is his who loveth the world."

As a community we are engaged in collective community activities around Hull. We have recently started Children's Class open to all at the Riverside Community Centre every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month as we are truly  'Aware of the aspirations of the children of the world and their need for spiritual education, we extend our efforts widely'

We also hold regularly Devotional meetings every Tuesday as part of our way of practising mutual worshipping. Our inspiration is to build a community life  based on joy, radiance and fellowship.

Apart from these we also host study circles.

These study circles are inspired by the Baha'i writings aimed at adults who gather through small  groups to meet and engage by way of a 'systematic studying of the Creative Word ....through the process of action, reflection and consultation '

We also impart our time in the Hull and East Riding InterFaith Society (HERI) as regular attendees and speakers promoting many aspects of a multi faith society by engaging in the deliberation and the promotion of the 'oneness of mankind' guided by the Baha'i Writings.

As Baha'is we believe in :

1. One Universal Auxilary Language

2. Equality between men and women

3. Universal peace

4. Universal education for all

5. Unity of religion

6. Elimination of prejudice of all kinds

7. Abolishing extremes of poverty and wealth

8. Oneness of mankind and religion
